Navratri Thoughts From Hindu Blog

Navratri is an opportunity for us to remove the demons of ego, anger, jealousy, greed and whole lot of negative emotions from us with the help of Mother Goddess Durga. The demons that Goddess Durga appeared to slay are present in all of us in one form or another. Apart from the above mentioned demons, lack of energy, fear, surrendering to disappointments, depression and failures are enemies that we pamper.

Mother Durga provides us with the opportunity to eliminate all sort of negativity in our life. She provides the energy but are we ready to receive the energy. She is ready to slay the demons of fear, anger, frustration, jealousy and greed. But are we ready to surrender them before her.

Quite often instead of praying to remove the darkness in us, we pray for fulfillment of our desires. Each desire fulfilled unknowingly adds to the darkness. Our desires never end and thus we are never able to receive the light provided by Mother Goddess.

Use this Navratri to contemplate. Surrender all negative emotions in us before Goddess Durga. Let Her slay them and make us ready to receive the light of bliss.
