Sri Narasimha Saraswati is believed to be the second avatar
of Sri Dattatreya. Sri Narsingh Saraswati Birth Anniversary is annually held on
Paush Shukla Paksha Dwitiya. Sri Sri Narasimha Saraswati 2025 date is January 1.
Sri Narasimha Saraswati is believed to have lived during the
14th century at Karanja in Maharashtra . He
showed spiritual inclination as a young child. His childhood name was Narhari. He
learned the Vedas and other scriptures. He followed the life of a Brahmachari. He
left home at an early age and took Sanayasa at Kashi and changed his name to
Sri Narasimha Saraswati.
He settled in Gangapur in Karnataka after traveling to many
places in India .
Sri Narasimha Saraswati is believed to have performed
numerous miracles and this is detailed in the Guru Charita. He is believed to
have had several disciples and helped many devotees to travel in the path of
self realization.
Apart from Karanja, the places where he gave sermons center
of pilgrimages and few of them are Narsobawadi, Audumbar and Gangapur.
Sri Narasimha Saraswati lineage was continued and after few centuries the famous Akkalkot Swami Samarth appeared.
