Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand, was inaugurated
on October 28, 2012. A modern architectural marvel, Sri Sai Mandir is located at
CH Area in Jamshedpur and is built on 0.75 acre land at a cost of around Rupees 3
crore. The temple is meant for all devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba.
The temple is beautifully landscaped with a central hall for
bhajan, aarti and a separate meditation center. The design of the main building
has 60ft arches. The roof above Sai Baba’s idol is of glass to let in sunlight.
The five feet murti of Shirdi Sai Baba is finely carved out of marble and is seated on a marble platform.

Puja or any kind of worship is prohibited at the main murti.
Devotees can perform puja and make offerings to a Sai Baba
murti in the lawn outside the main hall.
The kankar aarti is performed at 7:15 AM daily. This is
followed by midday aarti, dhoop arti and the evening sej aarti.
Bhoga is offered four times – dry fruits in the morning,
roti sabzi in the afternoon, fruits in the evening and roti, chaval and dal at
night.
A multi-religion 13-member managing committee is looking
after the Sai Mandir.
